Glass Reinforcements

Emulsion Bonded Mat

Emulsion Bonded Mat is compatible with both polyester and vinylester resins. Designed for easy breakdown, it facilitates effortless lamination using a brush or roller. Primarily used for mold making and laminating applications, it’s important to note that it’s not suitable for use with epoxy resins due to its inability to break down the binder.

Powder Bonded Mat

Powder Bonded Mat is specifically formulated for use with epoxy resins, employing a powder-based binder for molding or laminating. This versatile mat can withstand high temperatures and is compatible with polyester and vinylester resins, making it an excellent choice for applications involving different resin types.

Chopped Strand

Chopped Strand consists of glass strand filaments cut into small pieces measuring 3mm, 4.5mm,6mm, and 12mm. These chopped strands serve multiple purposes: they can be sprinkled into tight corners or obscure shapes where voids may occur behind a gelcoat. Alternatively, they can be mixed with resin and filler to form a paste for filling voids in laminates and molds. They are highly popular in BMC ( DMC ) Compound Manufacturing.

Rovings

Rovings are continuous glass filaments wound onto a reel, ready for direct application in processes such as filament winding, pultrusion, sheet molding compound, or spray gun application. They offer high quality and strand integrity, excellent wet out, and effective dispersion and spread.

Woven Rovings

Woven Rovings crafted by intertwining direct rovings, form bi-directional fabrics that elevate reinforcement performance. This technique boosts laminate strength and stiffness, commonly inserted between layers of fiberglass matting. Widely applied in HLU and adaptable to robotic manufacturing, woven rovings ensure swift wet out, optimal mold adaptation, and consistent laminate strength.

Surface Tissue

Surface Tissue is an ultra-fine matting designed to provide a smooth finish on laminates. Primarily used to conceal the coarse texture left by chopped strand mats, our surface tissue is engineered to dissolve when used with polyester and vinylester resins. Additionally, it is compatible with epoxy resin when required.
